Goats currently available for sale
Any animals offered for sale by Cool Acres will be featured on this page. Please feel free to ask any questions. Making sure my goats go to appropriate homes is important to me and I will try my best to accommodate your requests. Goats are highly social creatures and should not be kept as a single. If you don't already own goats, please be prepared to buy two. New goat owners will receive an instructional care package and continued support from me. Special price considerations for buyers that participate in showing, 4-H, Linear Appraisal and DHIA.
Some of my does will be on extended lactation, which means does currently on the breeding list may not be re-bred the following fall season. Keep this in mind if you are interested in kids from a certain doe.
Kids are dam raised by CAE negative does that are tested yearly, and can be picked up after 8 weeks of age (12 weeks for air shipping). If you would like to take your kid as a bottle baby please contact me in advance of kidding so that I can accommodate your request. I do not keep buck kids and will not sell one that I wouldn't keep myself for breeding, if you would like a buck kid, they must be paid in full and picked up no later than 12 weeks of age. Unless special arrangements are made ALL bucklings will be wethered by 12 weeks.
Sale Terms
Verbal/written reservations are accepted on planned breedings with a $50 deposit will hold a kid and guarantee price. With a reservation you will be notified when the doe kids and sent pictures to confirm your choice. After a decision is made you have two weeks from kidding date to put down a total deposit equal to 1/2 the total purchase price to hold your kid until weaning.
Sale of all other goats, adults and kids, require 1/2 of purchase price to hold until an agreed upon pick up date. All kids must be paid in full before leaving Cool Acres possesion. Kids may also be delivered at no charge to a show or event that I will be attending.
Shipping
Air shipping is out of Denver International Airport. Kids to be shipped via air can go at 12 weeks, I won't ship a kid younger than 12 weeks. In most cases two kids can ship in the same crate for no additional charge. Buyer is responsible for providing a suitable crate and other costs of air shipping.
