DesertNanny IM Laffy Taffy 4*D 4*M. (Blue-eyed)
Sire: +*B DesertNanny Icy ice Blue Man +*S
Dam: DesertNanny EC Blue Bunny 3*M 3*D
Date of Birth: March 3,2010
2014 LA: V+E+ 85
2012 ADGA/AGS one-day milk test: 4.2#, 5.12% BF, 4.51% Pro at 18 days as a first freshener
Taffy is my second senior doe purchased to round out my foundation herd. She comes from a long line of top producing milking lines and has already earned her miking stars. Taffy was not bred last year, she will be a 4 year old 2nd freshener so only pictures of her impressive first freshening exist. I can't wait to see her after kidding Feb 2014 and get her in the show ring and back on milk test. Unfortunately Taffy did not kid with the buck she was sold to me as bred to and gave me 3 LaMancha bucklings so I will have to re-breed her for early 2015 kids to see what she produces. She did freshen with a decent 2nd freshening udder but unfortunately lost her mind a bit at her first show with me and did not bag up. Now that she realizes she's here to stay she will do better. Shes wonderful on the milk stand and consistently gives me an average of 3 lbs of milk a day in spite of me not milking her soon enough after kidding and the very hot weather we are having. Hoping next years third freshening will be her year to shine.

Castle Rock Jasmine
Sire: SG Fairlea Barnaby Rudge +*S
Dam: GCH CRF Castle Rock Tesla 1*M 5*D
Date of birth February 1, 2011
2012 LA: +VV+ 85
2014 LA: VEV+ 84
Jasmine is my first doe and the foundation to my herd. She has the sweetest easy going personality and we bonded immediately. She has wonderful dairy character and should earn her milk star easily in 2015. I have not seen Jasmine in milk but do know that her breeder repeated her breeding keeping a buck and a doe after seeing her first freshening. I am very excited to get this girl in the show ring and on milk test next year. Thank you to Mini Ridge Top for allowing this fine lady to come to Cool Acres. Jasmines 3rd freshening is not a disappointment at one point she was nursing 3 kids and milking 3+ pounds a day, had I started milking her full time sooner I know I would be getting better production. However she is still milking 3+ pounds a day and has a strong will to milk. Better management will make her more competitive in the show ring. Jasmine's 2014 liner appraisal and her + in mammary is a disappointment especially after discovering that I had a milk thieving yearling that she was allowing to nurse. Well now I know why she was not bagging up for shows. There's always next year.

DesertNanny BBB Twilight
Sire: *B DesertNanny BR BlueBerryBuckle *S Dam: GCH DesertNanny BF SunSprite 3*M 3*D EEEE FS E91 (permanent score) Date of birth: March 7, 2012 Not nice of me to post a photo a lady hours before kidding but it still shows what I really like about this doe. Nice straight legs with beautiful angulation in the rear and nice long cannon bones. She is long and dairy with great blending and nice general appearance. I love this does udder, 2nd freshening udder is very well attached all around, nice medial and very capacious. |
MiniPrints Periwinkle Pixie
Sire: CRF Castle Rock Tiger Moon *S Dam: MiniPrints Wortha Plum Nickel 2*D Date of birth: July 9, 2013 2014 LA: VVVV Youngstock Pixie is my princess, friendly and polite but on her terms. I didn't intend on having two of the same age in my show string but I couldn't resist. Pixie was born too late to show as a kid but this girl is so correct in confirmation I can't wait for next show season. With top Rosasharn and Twin Creeks bloodlines Pixie should be a top producer as well. Thank you to Mini Prints Ranch for breeding such a nice doe! |
Cool Acres Silvermist
Sire: Proctor Hill Farm RT Blackjack Dam: MiniPrints Periwinkle Pixie Date of Birth: March 11, 2015 Well Misty here decided she needed to be on the senior doe page a year early, kidding on 2/26/2016 with a single doe kid. Misty is a beautiful doe with an pedigree packed with proven milking genetics. A long, angular and very dairy doe that kidded easily and produced a very correct doeling. Cool Acres Maiwen
